I'm Maisie Truman, an experienced Maths teacher and tutor in Worcestershire with a real passion for helping students feel confident and capable with numbers. Over the years, I’ve supported a wide range of students whilst teaching secondary Maths in a large comprehensive. I’ve also tutored throughout my teaching career and have built up a track record of happy students and great references.
Strong results go hand in hand with genuine understanding. That’s why I prioritise deep learning and steady progress. My approach is inclusive, relaxed, and tailored to each student. I know how real and common Maths anxiety can be – no matter your level – and I believe in creating a calm, supportive space where you can build confidence and maybe even start to enjoy Maths!

KS3
KS3 is a crucial stage for building confidence and strengthening the fundamentals of Maths. I focus on helping students develop a solid understanding of key concepts, using a supportive, step-by-step approach. Where helpful, I use manipulatives and visual tools to unlock tricky ideas and build strong number sense, laying the groundwork for success at GCSE and beyond.

With lots of resources to evaluate your starting point and to support you in tackling those contextual problems, I can help achieve your EL1, EL2, EL3, Level 1 or Level 2 functional skills.

Whether you're aiming to boost your grade, secure a strong pass, or push for top marks, I offer tailored support for both GCSE and iGCSE Maths. We’ll focus on building confidence, filling any gaps in understanding, and developing exam technique. Sessions are designed to be clear, supportive, and structured around each student’s needs — with plenty of practice and guidance to help you feel ready and in control when it counts.
AS Level
With a strong academic background in Mathematics and years of experience in teaching and tutoring, I offer clear, supportive sessions for AS Level and Year 12 students. Whether you're building confidence with new concepts, tackling challenging topics, or looking to strengthen your overall understanding, lessons are tailored to your needs and delivered in a calm, encouraging environment.
